Here’s a fun way to kick off your summer — come down to Shake Rag Alley’s Family Festival this Saturday (June 8) from 1-5 PM. Just look for the giant iguana at the side of the road.
The Shake Rag Alley campus will be buzzing with activity. There will be continuous entertainment on Alley Stage including music, dance, poetry and storytelling. Highlights will include Ben Moffat, a stilt-walking storyteller and Taku Ronsman a musician who provides a hands-on multi-cultural music, dance and story telling experience for the whole family. Click on this link to hear a sample of her work.
Kids can go on an art scavenger hunt, get their faces painted and help paint a piece of community art. Click here to check out Susan Webb’s post from last year’s event to get a sense of what a great day this is going to be.
It’s a perfect opportunity to sample the creative vibe down at Shake Rag. Click here to check out all the amazing classes scheduled this summer for children, teens and adults.
For Saturday’s Family Festival, kids under 12 are free. Adults and older children are $5. Everyone is welcome to stop by.
