When the new Mineral Point Visitor Guide arrives each year, some of us feel as excited as Steve Martin in The Jerk, when the new phonebooks arrived. Here’s a link to that scene.
Once again, we say with total certainty that MINERAL POINT WISCONSIN HAS THE GREATEST VISITOR GUIDES IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!
To prove our point, last year’s Guide (we call it Two Cows Taking A Walk) recently won a Madison ADDY – American Advertising Award. OK, maybe that doesn’t really prove our point, but we challenge anyone out there to find a better small town visitor guide. Kudos go to the gals at Kristin Mitchell Design who manage to top themselves each year.
This year’s Guide features the candy parade mural by local folk artist Rick Harris. The mural extends to the back cover as well. To see this mural in all it’s 3’x6′ glory – including the spaceships (that were omitted from the Guides) visit High Street Sweets.
And, yes, that was a blatant plug for our candy store.
