If it’s Friday night, a happening place to be is Gray Dog Deli. Just look for Mineral Point’s mascot — the Pointer Dog — standing guard on the second floor of this historic building.

Every Friday night (and sometimes other nights too) they have live music at 8:30 p.m. as the deli morphs into a wine bar.

Gray Dog serves wine, beer, margaritas and sangria.

In the morning you may need some strong coffee. The place to be for that is (surprise!) Gray Dog Deli – where they make all kinds of espresso drinks.
