Tonight is the third gallery night of 2014. The next one will be December 6th, so you might want to come out tonight and take advantage of the weather.
Be sure to stop by the Johnston Gallery at 245 High Street to wish the Johnstons a Happy 25th Anniversary. Tom and Diana opened the Johnston Gallery back in 1989 (back when Lucille May was 61) and have been a mainstay on High Street ever since.
In this recent article about Mineral Point (that went viral) Diana Johnston makes the point that “Everyone is important here, and no one is too important.” If there is an exception to the latter part of that, it could certainly be the Johnstons whose vibrant gallery is open seven days a week and showcases the work of over 200 artists.
Take a look.
It’s a must-see stop for anyone visiting town.
Tonight at 5:00 p.m. there will be a celebratory ribbon cutting. Throughout the day, the Johnstons are giving out these cool ceramic magnets.
You may enter a drawing to win one of these commemorative cups.
Here is the official Gallery Night Map to guide you as you tour the other galleries in town (disregard the date).
It should be a great night!
