Busy Weekend of Music and Books

Despite the cool temps, it promises to be a hot weekend in Mineral Point.

Friday night, there are two live music performances.  At 6 p.m., Better Daze returns to Jammin’ on the Porch at Orchard Lawn.  Then at 8:30 p.m. Karla Pustina performs at the Gray Dog Deli.

Saturday morning head to Water Tower park for the Farmer’s Market.

Throughout the day on Saturday check out the fourth annual Mineral Point Booktacular, also known as the Southwest Wisconsin Book Festival. The 99-year old Municipal Building will be a busy place with workshops taking place throughout the Library and in the Opera House. For the complete line-up of workshops, click here. Each workshop is $20.

Also on Saturday night, is the Beth Kille concert at Alley Stage. Like Mark Croft before her, she is planning to make a live recording of the performance. Tickets are available at the door for $10.

And, as we mentioned in an earlier post, Tequila Point is opening on Friday night.

That should be enough to keep us all busy!
