Weekend Events June 12-14th 2015

 It’s going to be an eventful weekend once again! Here are the events, with links:

Friday, June 12th

6:00 p.m. Jammin’ on the Porch at Orchard Lawn – music by the Katie Burns Band.  Katie will be playing songs inspired by living in Mineral Point.

8:30 p.m Live music by the Driftless Beggars at the Gray Dog Deli

Saturday, June 13th

8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Flea Market (Indoor and Outdoor) at Crazy Franks selling antiques, furniture, crafts, and assorted treasures

8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Mineral Point Farmers Market under the Water Tower

5:00-7:00 p.m. Mineral Point Fire Department Steak Supper at the fire station – $12

Sunday, June 14th

8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Flea Market at Crazy Franks continues.

6:00 p.m. Filzmp presents Spike and Mike’s Classic Festival of Animation at the Mineral Point Opera House.  Social hour begins at 5:00 p.m.  For information about becoming a member or guest of filmzmp, e-mail info@filmzmp.com or talk to Tom Kelly, in his lair at the Longbranch Gallery.

Ongoing Activities Throughout this Weekend and Beyond

Tour the 1868 Gundry House at Orchard Lawn, Friday through Sunday 1-5 pm

Tour the Mineral Point Railroad Museum in Wisconsin’s oldest surviving railroad depot. Thursday-Saturday 10-4, Sunday noon-4

Tour Pendarvis – one of only a dozen designated Wisconsin Historical Sites in the State
Daily 10-5 pm

Take a class at Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts. If classes are already full, tour the grounds and see what’s happening there.
