Halloween is always a fun celebration in Mineral Point – but even more so when it falls on a Saturday!

Here’s the line-up of weekend activities:

Friday, October 30, 2015

8 p.m. – Gray Dog Deli’s Halloween Costume Party will feature DJ FMAV aka Matt Sweeny and a costume contest.

Saturday, October 31, 2015 — HALLOWEEN

1:00-7:00 p.m. Trick or Treating all afternoon at Orchard Lawn

2:00 p.m. The Mineral Point Kiwanis invites kids to the MP Opera House for a Free costume contest and short movie about a friendly ghost. Thanks to Dr. Gibbons’ Dental office, the first 50 kids will receive a toothbrush and toothpaste! Contest winners get candy.

4:00 p.m. Take part in the annual HALLOWEEN PARADE down High Street and join the KAZOO BAND as they play the theme from the Addams Family. You can pick up a free kazoo at High Street Sweets or the Chamber office, while supplies last.

5:00-7:00 p.m. Trick or Treating takes place all over town with special treats at Shake Rag Alley.

5:30-7:30 p.m. The MP Youth Group presents their annual Haunted House for children up to 5th grade at the UCC Church.

This is the last night for the MP Dining Company.  While it’s not technically a Halloween event, it’s scary to those who loved it.

Daylight Saving Time starts!  You get an extra hour of sleep, which might be the perfect way to end this fun weekend.
