Here’s what’s happening this weekend in MP!

Thursday, June 23th

7 p.m. The Mascot Theory performs live at the Opera House with special guest Future Stuff. The Mascot Theory will premiere their new “Over the Horizons” music video which was filmed in the historic Mineral Point Opera House. Tickets: $15

Friday, June 24th

8 p.m. “Stay Tuned” performs classic country music at Gray Dog Deli.

Saturday, June 25th

8:30-11:00 a.m. Mineral Point Farmers Market at Water Tower Park

1:00 p.m. Matinee Harness Racing at the Iowa County Fairgrounds.

Sunday, June 26th

3 p.m. Leslie Damaso (soprano) and Jason Kutz (piano) perform “The Tears of Things,” live at the Mineral Point Opera House. The program consists of Spanish canciones, Kundiman of the Philippines, and new compositions. Tickets: $15

Don’t forget to register for the July Fourth “Gettin’ the Lead Out 2 or 5 Mile Run/Walk.  You can register online at mineralpoint.com It’s the best way to start a great day in Mineral Point. Then join us for the parade and a steak lunch, with live music – at Watertower Park.  The day continues with games and music and fireworks. It’s all coming soon … on July 4th.

Ongoing Activities Throughout this Weekend and Beyond

Tour the 1868 Gundry House at Orchard Lawn, Friday through Sunday 1-5 pm.

Tour the Mineral Point Railroad Museum in Wisconsin’s oldest surviving railroad depot. Thursday-Saturday 10-4, Sunday noon-4.

Tour Pendarvis – one of only a dozen designated Wisconsin Historical Sites in the State
Daily 10-5 pm.

Take a class at Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts. If classes are already full, tour the grounds and see what’s happening there.
