Thursday, July 7th
All day-The 15th Midwest Woodlanders Gathering kicks off this Thursday at Shake Rag Alley. You can still register for one of their many workshops where you can create unique rustic and nature crafts! Some projects include building rustic tables and chairs made from twigs and branches, basket making, woodcarving, blacksmithing, wielding, and working with leather, fiber, and clay. Workshops are for beginners and experienced folks alike. Join nature lovers for an exciting weekend! It’s like “Summer camp for adults.”
Friday, July 8th
All day- Woodlanders continues.
6:00 -8:00 p.m. Jammin’ on the Porch featuring music performed by Scott Stieber and Don Meyers at Orchard Lawn (The Gundry House)
8:00 p.m. Live music by Listen to the Deep Light at Gray Dog Deli
Saturday, July 9th
All day Woodlanders continues.
8:30-11:00 a.m. Mineral Point Farmers Market at Water Tower Park
9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Grand Opening of Cyndy’s Fudge & Ice Cream Shoppe Specials on fudge, ice cream, and crafts. Stop by for door prizes, free samples and face painting!
1:00-9:00 p.m. Haiku Workshop lead by Tom Painting. The workshop is split into two parts starting with How-to Haiku Beginners Workshop and ending with The Garden Path (6:30 p.m.). In between the work shops there will be time for reflection, writing, and dinner at 5 p.m. at the Walker House.
8:00 p.m. Point Five performs at Alley Stage in Shake Rag Alley.
Sunday, July 10th
All day- Last day of Woodlanders Gathering
Ongoing Activities Throughout this Weekend and Beyond
Tour the 1868 Gundry House at Orchard Lawn, Friday through Sunday 1-5 pm.
Tour the Mineral Point Railroad Museum in Wisconsin’s oldest surviving railroad depot. Thursday-Saturday 10-4, Sunday noon-4.
Tour Pendarvis – one of only a dozen designated Wisconsin Historical Sites in the State
Daily 10-5 pm.
Take a class at Shake Rag Alley Center for the Arts. If classes are already full, tour the grounds and see what’s happening there.
